About the Author
Raul F. Chong is the DB2 on Campus Program Manager based at the IBM Toronto Laboratory. His main responsibility is to grow the DB2 Express community, helping members interact with one another and contributing to the forum. Raul is focusing on universities and other educational institutions promoting the DB2 on Campus program. Raul holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Toronto, and is a DB2 Certified Solutions Expert in both DB2 Administration and Application Development. He is the lead author of the first edition of Understanding DB2: Learning Visually with Examples and is coauthor of DB2 SQL PL Essential Guide for DB2 UDB on Linux, UNIX, Windows, i5/OS, and z/OS.
Xiaomei Wang is a technical consultant for IBM Discovery & Enterprise Content Management (ECM) based at the IBM Toronto Laboratory. Xiaomei has presented at conferences worldwide, has written a number of articles, and coauthored the redbook SAP Solutions on IBM DB2 UDB V8.2.2 Handbook. She is an IBM Certified Solution Experts (Content Manager, FileNet P8, DB2 UDB Database Administration, DB2 UDB Application Development, DB2 UDB Advanced Technical Expert, and Business Intelligence), and also a Red Hat Certified Technician.
Michael Dang is a DB2 Technical Sales Specialist. He specializes in solution design, database sizing, product licensing, and Balanced Warehouse configurations. Michael has also worked as a DB2 Support Analyst, and as a DB2 Database Administrator for more than seven years. He has contributed to numerous articles and is an IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert.
Dwaine R. Snow is a senior product manager for DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows. Dwaine has worked with DB2 for the past seventeen years as part of the development team focusing on the database engine and tools, the development of the DB2 Certification program, and as part of the lab-based consulting team.
