PRESCRIBED TEXT FOR:FNSACC301A FNSACC302A AT OTEN, SEMESTER 1 2012 Shortlisted for 2009 Australian Educational Publishing Awards. Accounting: An Introduction to Principles and Practice 6e has been carefully structured to comply with the 'elements of competency and performance criteria', as they are currently defined by the National Training and Information Service (NTIS). In addition, the book's structure is also consistent with the most current Australia-wide standards outlined by the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). This makes the book appropriate for use in introductory Accounting units taught through registered training organisations (RTOs). The text offers the most up-to-date coverage of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as they are stipulated by the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). # Reflects current International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as currently stipulated by the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). # Written in accordance with the 'Elements of Competency and Performance Criteria' as they are currently defined by the National Training Information Service (NTIS), so suitable for TAFE Introductory Accounting units Australia wide. Previous editions only aligned with the core competencies as defined by TAFE NSW and so the book only sold in NSW. # Accompanying Workbook contains solutions templates for all questions in the text. # 'Keep in Mind' boxes throughout the text summarising key concepts. # Revision questions at the close of each chapter allowing students to test their understanding of the core concepts covered in each chapter. # Clearly laid out table at the opening of the book that shows how the Elements of Competency and Performance Criteria, as defined by the Australian TAFE governing body, are addressed in each chapter of the text. # Additional table at the beginning of the book that illustrates how each chapter directly addresses the introductory accounting Units of Competency, as defined by the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). These competencies must be addressed in the introductory accounting units taught by Registered Training Organisations in Australia. Clarke,
